Hi everyone. Aidan here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at and showing you how to install these lift gate lift supports from Atlas Lift on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. They are sold individually but we recommend installing them in pairs. If you are replacing an old worn out one and you only replace one, chances are the other one's gonna be a little bit uneven and it's just better to have two new ones to ensure everything's moving the same. If you have a nitride-coated steel shaft, that's gonna be corrosion resistant and the nylon ball and socket joints at the end are gonna connect to OEM factory fittings. more

Atlas Lift Hood Lift Support Review- Video
So if you've ever had to do any maintenance on your vehicle, you know that keeping that hood up out of the way, is pretty important. If you have issues with your hood actually staying up, like we have today with our neighbor's vehicle, the struts just are kind of given out. It kind of wants to sag back down. Typically, if I let go of my hand, this should still stay here with the gas strut or even push it up, depending on the pressure of that strut. But with ours today, it just wants to sag down and fall on you. And everybody knows this big old hunk of metal, falling down in your head isn't gonna feel great. more

This does have a compression force of 50 pounds, so it is going to help compress to gently close your hatch without slamming, potentially catching your fingers or gear in there, causing damage. And then it's also going to extend to help ease lifting your hatch lid and to make that easier for you. This does install on your 10 millimeter ball stud, so we've got the two 10 millimeter ball sockets here, they're going to snap right onto those ball studs on your boat's hatch. more

This is going to replace one worn or damaged strut on your boat's hatch lid or compartment door. This will extend to help ease lifting your hatch lid, or, as you compress or close your door, it's going to compress so that you're not going to slam your hatch, not gonna have to worry about getting your fingers caught and that sort of thing. So this does use the 10-millimeter ball sockets that will attach to your 10-millimeter ball studs on the inside of your boat's hatch. The length of this, from the center of one socket to the center of the other, is right about seven and a half inches, as you can see there. more

Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this rear window glass lift support arm, and this is a gas strut that is going to replace one rear window glass support arm on your 2009 to 2015 Honda Pilot. This arm is going to extend to help hold your rear window glass open, and then gently compress while closing, so it's not coming smashing down on you. This does have these nylon ball sockets that will connect to the ball studs on your Pilot, so it's gonna be very easy to snap in place then you'll have that nice firm connection. Our overall length from one ball socket to the other, center to center, when we have it expanded is right at 17 and three quarters of an inch. When we have it compressed will be about 10 and nine 16ths of an inch. more

Review of Atlas Lift Gas Struts - Lexus Hood Lift Support Strut - ATL32QR- Video
Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Hood Lift Support Arm. This is a gas strut that will replace the one of your hood lift support arms on either your 2002 through 2003 Lexus ES 300 or your 2004 through 2006 Lexus ES 330. This is going to extend to help hold your hood open. So you're not gonna have to worry about it falling down as you're working underneath the hood, hitting you in the back of the head or something like that and it will then gently compress while you're closing your hood, so you don't have to worry about getting your fingers smashed, getting any tools caught and damaging your hood or anything along those lines. So this does have these nylon ball socket connectors that will install directly onto your existing OEM ball studs so very easy to get this snapped in place and have a nice secure fit. more

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Replacement Hood Lift Support. This gas strut is going to replace one hood lift support arm on your 2010 through 2015 Lexus RX 350 or the Lexus RX 450h. So if you have either one of those Lexuses and you're needing to replace that hood arm, this is gonna be exactly what you need. This does have the nylon ball sockets that are going to instantly connect into your OEM ball studs, so very easy to just click those in place and have a nice solid connection. Our overall length from one ball socket, center to the other, we are gonna be right at 20 3/16 of an inch, and when we have this compressed, it is going to be about 11 1/2 inches. more

Once our struts start to wear out the hood doesn't really wanna stay open. You don't wanna be that guy that's sitting there propping it up whenever you're working on your motor. Today we have a 2010 Ford F-250, and we're gonna be taking a look at the Atlas Lift Gas Strut. So this's gonna be for your hood. So what we wanna do if we're replacing this, it's probably not staying up on its own. So I'm using something to prop it up, so when I pop this thing off, it's not gonna fall on me, and also just so to keep it up so we can replace it. One, kinda get an idea of how it's sitting. So right now we have the larger end of the strut on top, and then the rod going through here on the bottom. more

So the reason why we're replacing it today on my vehicle is it's not doing anything, it doesn't stay up. And that's annoying, especially if you need to grab something out of the back or need to do some maintenance underneath the hood. Hey everybody, Jared at etrailer.com. Today I wanna take a look at the 23 inch Taylor Made steel gas shock. Now, this is a replacement for one worn or damaged ball and socket gas strut for your boat's hatch wood or your compartment door. The annealed steel and corrosive resistant coating are great for both freshwater and saltwater environments. If we take a look at the shock itself, we can see the cylinder, which houses the guide seal and the piston, and the piston rod, which compresses into the cylinder. On the outside here, we have a 10 millimeter ball socket and those connect to the 10 millimeter ball stud. more
